about

(2004) Dark and creepin-ass beat I made for Mac Dev and Pete to rap over. I have the vocal version of this track too, the lyrics were fuckin nuts as you could imagine. I was saying some shit about wavin pistols at nuns and dev was spitting some murder raps. Pete was always so sick and had that OG oakland turf style. I might get that track mastered as well. I like the instrumental here because it's a good beat to freestyle some murder raps late night with your boys.

Memory of this track: One night I was rolling with a weed dealer named Cedric who I met while he was working at AOL for a brief stint before he got fired. We were blazed at his house one Tuesday night and decided on an impromptu trip to the strip club (TD's West of course). I remember in the ride bumping 8Ball & MJG "Nobody But Me" super loud. He was like 21 and I was 28 at the time and this guy decides to roll up to the club with an unregistered Glock 19 in case "anyone has funk". I didn't have a valid drivers license, already had a few drinks and smoked a gang of weed so I knew we were riding dirty for sure. I was definitely on edge cuz a 3rd DUI and it would have been curtains. Not to mention any warrant that dude may have had and of course illegal firearm possession. We had a blast that night tippin big, throwing 10's & 20's on stage actin like we were some kinda big shots in the Tucson D game. At the end it was like that fool was trying to start funk so he could have an excuse to brandish the firearm so I had to remind him that my brother and friends are the managers so it's best to just go home. I drove with uber caution on the way home. I never kicked it with him again for some reason, most likely because I found another connect whose OZ's went for $30.
