about

(2005) I set out to make a pop-track and this is what I came up with. It really has no purpose except to let the bass ride over some synths and triggered old school hip hop samples. I'm ready to license this shit out to a movie or tv show for like a montage or something. At the time I loved this beat for some reason. I think the vox sample was from a T-La Rock record I had? Man I can't remember but I loved bumping this shit in my Honda Civic sedan. I remember going out on a date and playing some beats in the ride one night. She asked what are you listening to I told her some shit I made earlier. She was like "You made this??!! Are you a producer or something like that?!"

All of the sudden I was THE MAN my game super was elevated with just minimal effort. I couldn't do anything wrong the whole night. Matter of fact it was hard to shake the broad after I found that we weren't a match. In her eyes, I was the next DJ Icey.
